Annual PURE Engagement research recognizes pharmaceutical companies delivering leading patient support experiences, based on feedback from more than 2,300 physicians and healthcare support staff.
Nuvera, an Inizio Engage brand, today announced the PURE Engagement winners of its 2026 Best-in-Class Patient Support Program Awards recognizing those pharmaceutical companies rated by healthcare providers as the industry leaders in supporting patients and practices throughout the treatment journey.
The 2026 awards recognize top-performing companies across oncology, neurology, and immunology. For large pharmaceutical companies, the immunology category is further evaluated across rheumatology, dermatology, gastroenterology, and respiratory. The respective Best-in-Class winners will also be recognized at the Informa Patient Pathways Congress on November 20 in Philadelphia.
Companies are evaluated separately within large and small-to-midsized pharmaceutical company peer groups, allowing for meaningful comparisons among organizations of similar scale.
The PURE Awards are driven by the voices of more than 2,300 physicians and healthcare support staff with firsthand experience using patient support programs, captured through PURE Engagement’s annual research and benchmarking study.

Sustained Excellence in Patient Support
Several of this year's winners have demonstrated sustained leadership, earning Best-in-Class recognition for a second consecutive year.
Pfizer retained its Best-in-Class distinction in oncology, while AbbVie continued its strong performance from 2025, earning top recognition again across neurology, rheumatology and gastroenterology.
Sanofi, in partnership with Regeneron on Dupixent, also maintained its leadership across Immunology by defending the top position in both dermatology and respiratory.
These repeat performances demonstrate that leading patient support is not driven by a single initiative, but by consistently delivering against the evolving needs of healthcare providers and patients.
The Voice of Healthcare Providers Defines Best-in-Class
PURE Engagement’s annual research examines what healthcare providers need from manufacturers while benchmarking company performance across critical dimensions of the support experience. This methodology provides a view not only of which companies are performing well, but also of the capabilities and experiences that distinguish leading programs.
“The strongest patient support programs are increasingly defined by how easy they make it for patients and healthcare providers to navigate an incredibly complex treatment journey,” said Jens Kulstad, Head of PURE Engagement. “What is particularly notable is that several of this year's winners have maintained their leadership positions year over year. At the same time, we are seeing digital solutions begin to reshape what best-in-class support can look like, creating opportunities to reduce administrative burden, accelerate access and make support more proactive and personalized without losing the human element that patients and healthcare providers continue to value.”
AI Is Creating New Opportunities in Patient Support
AI has become a significant area of focus within PURE Engagement as pharmaceutical manufacturers evaluate how emerging technologies can transform patient support.
The research explores both how manufacturers are using AI today and where healthcare providers, patients, and industry leaders believe it can create the greatest value in the future.
Opportunities range from automating administrative activities and improving speed to answer, to identifying patients at risk of access delays or treatment discontinuation, and enabling more personalized engagement. At the same time, PURE Engagement examines where human interaction remains essential and how manufacturers can strike the right balance between automation and high-touch support.
These insights complement PURE Engagement's broader research into access and reimbursement, affordability, field reimbursement support, digital capabilities, communication, patient experience, program operations and emerging industry trends.
