the Boardroom, the first private club for senior women executives preparing for board service, will partner with American Conference Institute (ACI) to deliver a high-impact, immersive boardroom simulation on July 28, 2026, at this year’s ACI’s Women Leaders in Life Sciences Law Summit (WILS) Boston event, July 29 - 30, 2026, at the Seaport Hotel in Boston.
For over a decade, WILS Boston has served as the key forum for professional growth, networking, and knowledge sharing for all attorneys in the life sciences and celebrates the accomplishments of women attorneys in the life sciences.
“Since our inaugural Women Leaders in Life Sciences Law (WILS) conference nearly 13 years ago, attendees—primarily women attorneys and executives across the life sciences industry—have consistently expressed a desire for practical guidance on securing and succeeding in board positions. Questions surrounding board qualifications, positioning, governance, dynamics, etiquette, and effective participation have remained a recurring theme. The boardroom Experience is designed to address these needs, offering attendees valuable insights and the closest possible experience to participating in an actual boardroom environment," commented Lisa J. Piccolo, Senior Divisional Director, Conference Production at ACI.
“The Boardroom exists to ensure that highly qualified women are not only prepared for board seats, but thrive once they reach them. Our partnership with ACI reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the pipeline of exceptional women into governance and leadership roles at the highest levels of business,” shared Diana Markaki-Bartholdi, Founder of the Boardroom and facilitator of July’s boardroom simulation.
Since 2021, the Broadroom has facilitated live board meeting simulations across Europe, the UK and the United States, allowing aspiring professionals to step into the role of a board member and work through scenarios spanning governance, strategic oversight and enterprise risk.
“ACI is delighted to bring the Boardroom Experience to our attendees and is absolutely honored to partner with the Boardroom on its second US venture.” Piccolo went on to say.
