Welcome to the premiere issue of the VIEW — the first in a series of supporting publications to PharmaVOICE, PharmaLinx LLC’s flagship product. The impetus to develop and publish a series of VIEWs was in direct response to reader demand. As all publications ultimately are defined by their audiences, PharmaLinx endeavors to develop products and services that reflect the qualities of its readers who must be adaptive to change, who are open to new ideas and cutting edge business concepts, and who demand and expect quality. PharmaLinx’s goal is to continue to develop editorial products that address readers’ needs in a distinctly unique for mat. Multiple perspective editorial coverage has been and will continue to be tightly focused on how industry leaders are managing and operating in the dynamic and multifaceted life sciences sectors. Each VIEW includes a thought provoking Forum based on interviews with industry executives with a knowledge base in a particular sector. Each VIEW also includes one of a kind content contributed by industry leaders who provide solutions, products, and services to life science companies. Recently, issues affecting CME have become a more prominent feature of debate in the industry. Recognizing that the enterprise of continuing medical education touches myriad stakeholders who are grappling with new and emerging regulations and industry forces, PharmaLinx has responded with the VIEW on Medical Education. As new regulations begin to have a stabilizing, or destabilizing, effect on CME in the coming year the test for business leaders isn’t in forecasting the day of perfect alignment among all factions; the true test is whether they are laying the groundwork for future suc cess. As such, the industry needs to for tify its business enterprises with the necessary tools and information to gen erate optimum results. In the following pages, you will find articles by leading providers of services that address CME topics related to facil itating physician learning, the industry, medicaleducation and communication companies, regulators and regulations, and technology and program design. In addition, the Forum on CME pro vides original commentary from execu tives who are charged with adapting their organizations’ programs to be in regulatory compliance while developing relevant and meaningful content for physicians and other healthcare providers. We know you are busy and need genuine knowledge. After reading the VIEW on Medical Education, please take a moment to provide us with your feed bac, because for us, content is at the core of everything we do. A question naire has been provided and should only take a minute to fill out. If you prefer, you can answer the questions online at www.pharmalinx/view.com. All submis sions will remain confidential and are for the sole purpose of refining our editorial coverage for future endeavors. We at PharmaLinx look forward to bringing our readers new and exciting products that offer insight and value.
