Dana Reeve A Real Superwoman Named one of America’s Outstanding Women in 1995 and recipient of the Visiting Nurses Association’s Caregiver’s Courage Award, an award now named in her honor, Dana Reeve — though perhaps best-known as the wife of late actor Christopher Reeve — was a remarkable woman in her own right. Following the horse-riding accident that left her husband paralyzed, Ms. Reeve, an actress and singer, turned her attention to helping others.
