COVID social distancing policies revealed cracks in our support system for training and onboarding patients onto biologic therapies. Heavy reliance on HCPs and in-person training support failed patients during the pandemic. As a result, many patients hoping to start therapy delayed relief, and recent starts were asked to slow down their loading doses. Access to training support and medication management disappeared for many who moved forward initiating new treatments. Physical training tools collect dust in drawers in empty clinics, and HCPs and patients lack broad awareness of and accessibility to tools appropriate for remote onboarding.

Reasons to attend

This dynamic one-hour virtual panel provides you with four different perspectives regarding the “cracks” in the system, presents alternative patient support models already in use, and considers the possibilities of what onboarding support might look like moving forward. You’ll get to interact with the speakers and join a working group to continue the discussion if you’re interested.
