The time is now for progress in rare diseases
There are over 7,000 rare diseases and 90% of them are still without an approved treatment. Attendees of the largest and longest standing annual rare disease conference, NORD’s Rare Diseases & Orphan Products Breakthrough Summit (Oct. 21-22 in Washington, DC), will explore why “The Time is Now”—for research, innovation, advocacy and collaboration. The Rare Summit affords an unprecedented opportunity to hear from the experts, including the heads of the three FDA medical centers, and join conversations of the pressing issues facing the rare disease community. From addressing affordability while sustaining innovation and creating a roadmap for collaboration between patient organizations and industry, to interactive conversations with FDA senior staff, the largest multi-stakeholder event in rare diseases focuses on timely issues with the leading subject matter experts.
