Why can’t we beat clinical depression?

Clinical depression is one of the most prevalent diseases in the civilized world. The symptoms are often misunderstood. The sufferers often don’t seek help for 10 years or longer. Society attaches a negative stigma to the condition. It is often confused with temporarily feeling depressed.

This TED-Ed video provides a good overview on depression and describes possible remedies.
